The Story of Dastarkhan Delights
The word "dastarkhan" — a traditional spread cloth laid before a meal — represents everything we believe in: gathering, generosity, and the joy of food made with love. It's the cloth our grandmothers laid before family feasts. It's the tradition we're keeping alive, one jar and one box at a time.
Dastarkhan Delights was born in 2018 when our founder, Zubeda Apa, began sharing her legendary gulab jamun and mango achaar with neighbours in DHA Phase 5. The response was overwhelming — within weeks, she was receiving orders from families across Karachi, and soon enough, from Lahore and Islamabad too.
Today, we're a small but passionate team of home cooks, packers, and delivery partners — all united by the belief that the best food doesn't come from factories. It comes from kitchens. And from love.

Zubeda Apa
Founder & Head Chef
Raised in a family where food was the language of love, Zubeda learned to cook from her mother and her nani before her. Her gulab jamun recipe is 67 years old — unchanged since her nani wrote it in a notebook that still sits on our kitchen shelf.
"I've never used a recipe card for the mango achaar. It lives in my hands. My mother always said: you don't need to measure when you cook with your heart." — and that's exactly how every batch leaves our kitchen.
When she's not in the kitchen, you'll find her at the Hyderi market before dawn, handpicking the freshest ingredients. Quality isn't a policy for her — it's a personal standard she refuses to compromise.

We launch handcrafted Eid gift boxes. 50 boxes sell out in 3 hours. The forest green packaging becomes our signature.
100 Orders / Week
Dastarkhan Delights reaches 100+ orders per week. We expand to a dedicated kitchen and bring on 3 full-time helpers.

We launch our full e-commerce website with the Gift Builder tool, serving 500+ families weekly across Pakistan.
